The union representing the striking workers criticized Boeing and said it was “hell-bent” on pushing through a “non-negotiated offer” it released to the media last month.

The aviation giant accused the union of not giving its proposals serious consideration.

The breakdown extends a machinist strike at Boeing that has halted production of most of the company's aircraft.
