Amazon expands same-day delivery service ahead of Prime Day - full list

Amazon has announced it is expanding its same-day delivery service ahead of Amazon Prime Day on October 8 and 9. Olympic medallists Dina Asher-Smith and Zharnel Hughes have been recruited to announce the expansion of Amazon’s Same-Day Delivery, which is available for millions of products in 81 towns and cities across the UK, with Aberdeen, Middlesbrough, and Plymouth the most recent additions.

Asher-Smith and Hughes star in a new short film for the upcoming Prime Big Deal Days event where they compete to deliver Prime packages – sprinting past unsuspecting members of the public to complete the fastest Prime product handovers. Earlier this year, Amazon announced it had set a new PB by delivering its fastest order within 75 minutes.

“Prime Big Deal Days will offer Prime members a wide selection of deals across some of our most popular items,” said John Boumphrey, UK Country Manager, Amazon. “We have had some help kicking it off from Britain’s fastest ever 100-metre athletes as our delivery gets even faster – and we’re expanding our Same-Day Delivery to even more cities as we aim to beat our own personal best of 75 minutes from order to delivery.”
