Our favourite mid-range phone is cheaper than ever for Prime Day

For many people, mid-range phones are the sweet spot between price and performance. At their best, they offer a premium experience without the wallet-busting price tags of flagships.

If you’ve taken a look at our guide to the best mid-range phones recently, you’ll know that the OnePlus Nord 4 sits at the top. Despite a starting price of just £429, it looks and performs just like a high-end phone.

But what if I told you it was now even cheaper? For Amazon’s Prime Day sale, you can get 12% off the 12/256GB model, dropping it to only £329.

However, the deal gets even better if you want the 16/512GB version. Rather than paying £529, you can get the phone for only £429 instead – a 19% saving.

The phone was only released in July, so it should come as no surprise that both models are at the lowest prices they’ve ever been. Sadly, the Nord 4 isn’t sold in the US, so the deals aren’t available there.

However, to access these deals, you’ll need to be a Prime member. This costs £8.99 per month or £95 per year, but you can get a free 30-day trial if you haven’t signed up before.

You’ll also need to act fast: the deal is set to expire at 11.59pm on 9 October, or sooner if stock runs out.

It’s worth emphasising that this phone was only released in July, so it’s very early to see such big discounts. But the phone is well future-proofed, as the latest generation and with OnePlus offering six years of updates to its slick software.

The latter is one of many things we loved about the Nord 4 in our full review. Other highlights include a premium metal unibody design, gorgeous display and strong battery life. The only real downsides are the supporting cameras, but the impressive main and selfie lenses more than make up for it.
