Birmingham's German Christmas Market is back again for 2024, bringing its usual festive food and drink offering that Brummies and visitors have come to know and love.

The city's annual Frankfurt Christmas Market, now in its 24th year, opened to the public on Friday, November 1, with 60 stalls filling Victoria Square and New Street.

Alongside stands selling handcrafted decorations, toys, jewellery and gifts, visitors can fill up on bratwursts, schnitzels, pretzels and garlic bread, along with festive tipples like hot gluhwein, tankards of beer and boozy hot chocolates.

Last year, market-goers were relieved to find that the cost of a pint and a bratwurst combo stayed the same as the previous year, after rising to £12.50 in 2022. The same can't be said for this year, however, as some prices have gone up.

Those looking to enjoy the festivities on a budget can get a half-pint of beer for £4.50 and a Frankfurt sausage for £5.50, or a burger for £5, while hot pretzels start from £4. See below for a full list of food and drink prices from this year's German market.
