NQ64 Arcade Bar has asked customers for help over one issue

‘Amazing’ Birmingham bar seeking help from customers over unlikely reason

by · Birmingham Live

A popular Birmingham bar where customers enjoy retro games and specialised cocktails has requested help from its patrons. Located inside the Custard Factory courtyard, NQ64 Arcade Bar has given Birmingham a shot of nostalgia since 2020.

Crazy Taxi, Guitar Hero, and Mario Kart are some of the games that the bar chain has at its Digbeth location. Outside of games, the cocktail menu draws inspiration from iconic videogame characters such as Donkey Kong and Aku Aku.

To play any of the games, customers need to pay for currency tokens at the bar. NQ64 is now short on those tokens and is allowing customers to hand any in for a reward.

If customers have leftover NQ64 tokens, returning them at the Digbeth bar entitles them to a half-price gaming voucher. This does not apply to any of the games on consoles, which are free.

In a social media post, NQ64 said: “We need your help! Loads of NQ64 tokens are missing and we need help bringing them home this November.

“If you have any old tokens lying around your house, bring them to your local NQ64 and exchange them for a half-price gaming voucher. We miss you tokens, come home.”

Earlier this year, we visited NQ64 and were blown away by the bar’s new laser tag activity. It seems Brummies love the bar as much as we do, NQ64 currently has a rating on Google Reviews of 4.6 out of five.
