Roller Jam in Digbeth

Huge Birmingham attraction shuts down 'with a heavy heart' as regulars say 'gutted'

A roller rink in Digbeth has closed its doors after two and a half years. Roller Jam, a 'purpose built nightclub on wheels' on Glover Street says that declining visitor numbers have contributed to the decision for directors to shut it down 'with a heavy heart'.

Directors of the business posted news of the closure on the Roller Jam social media pages. The venue was a 'multi-zone' space with a skating rink, private booths, cinematic screens and equipment for light and laser shows. It also had a Roller Diner serving food and pool and air hockey tables in an arcade area.

Addressing the 'Roller Jam community', bosses said: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the immediate closure of Roller Jam. This decision has not come easily, as we have cherished every moment spent with our incredible staff and loyal customers throughout our journey over the last two and a half years!

"Unfortunately, the ongoing cost of living crisis has significantly impacted our business, leading to a decline in visitors to our skating arena. The combination of high operational costs and reduced revenue over the past six months has left us with no viable option but to close our doors.
