Advertisements for lash serums are always popping up on my social media, all boasting impressive before and after results. They feature users with short lashes that appear to transform into long, thick, fuller flutters in just a few weeks. I've always been somewhat sceptical about the effectiveness of these eyelash serums. Can one product truly make such a significant difference?

Well, after using UKLASH Eyelash Growth Serum daily for three months, the answer for me is a resounding yes. Prior to discovering UKLASH, I'd tried several different lash serums over the years as a beauty writer, but I'd never seen great results.

Some didn't even make a noticeable difference in terms of thickness and length, and a quick-fix product for longer lashes seemed too good to be true. I first heard about UKLASH Eyelash Growth Serum because it's a favourite among celebrities, receiving praise from the likes of Molly-Mae Hague and Sophie Habboo, who both have enviable lashes.

My eyelashes are fairly straight and light in colour, so without mascara, they lack definition. It wasn't until I started using the UKLASH Eyelash Serum that I noticed a significant difference in how they looked without curling or makeup.

The UKLASH Eyelash Growth Serum can be applied at any time of the day, but I began using it every night before bed as soon as I received it. I did try applying it in the morning a few times, but if you wear eye makeup, I'd suggest using it in the evening to avoid waiting for it to dry.

The brand claims that noticeable results can be seen in as little as 25 days, and in my case, this was when I started observing changes. Initially, I was concerned that the product might irritate my eyes or leave them feeling sticky, but only a small amount is needed on the lash line and it's barely perceptible.

Around the one-month mark, my lashes started appearing fuller and longer - after consistently using the UKLASH Eyelash Growth Serum for three months, my eyelashes are the best they've ever been. They're significantly longer now, so much so that even without mascara, my eyelashes are clearly visible, which was a challenge before.

When I do wear mascara, my lashes now touch the bottom of my eyebrows and there have been instances where - dare I say - they've been almost too long to even require the lengthening mascara I'm used to. I feel much more confident without mascara, which will be fantastic when going for a no-makeup look.

At £38 for a 3ml bottle, the product isn't exactly a bargain, but considering it's a formula that comes into close contact with your eyes, it's not something you'd want to cut corners on. Plus, I'm far from finishing the serum, so it'll last at least six months before needing a replacement.

How to use the UKLASH Eyelash Growth Serum?

The brand advises applying one stroke of the serum to your upper lash line with your eyes closed. One dip is enough for both eyes. For optimal results, apply in the evening and let the serum work overnight.

If applying in the morning - ensure the serum has fully dried before proceeding with your makeup routine. For the initial three months, I applied this product daily, but since then, I've been using it every other day to maintain my current length.

What you should know before using UKLASH Eyelash Growth Serum?

Although the formula didn't irritate my eyes when used correctly, there were a few instances where I applied too much and found the product seeped into my eyes causing them to water. You really don't need a lot of liquid on the brush before applying to your lash line.

Like all lash serums, there are potential side effects to be aware of, with the most common one being a darkening on the skin where the product has been applied. Personally, I haven't experienced this or any redness when using the UKLASH serum, but it's something to consider if you have sensitive skin. Your eyelashes grow, fall out and then get replaced meaning you will have to continue using the UKLASH serum if you want to keep seeing results. It's not a one-use-and-done type of product.

However, if the results are as impressive as the ones I've had after using the UKLASH serum, I think spending 30 seconds in the evening applying it is well worth it. It works out around £6 per month when used for six months which is considerably cheaper than lash lifts or extensions, and less damaging to your natural lashes.
