Aldi has launched a new range of Specialbuys for October - and the recent release has seen parents queuing out the doors for a new range of wooden toys. On October 10, Aldi launched a range of wooden toys including a kitchen, railway sets and even a wooden Cuthbert the Caterpillar cake, which was priced at £7.99.

The new range saw "chaos" in stores with people queueing outside at 8am at some Aldi stores and "mums going to war" for the bargain wooden Specialbuys. The sets have become so popular that some items are being listed for £170 on Vinted.

Some shoppers went to social media to talk about the chaos that unfolded on Thursday. @AlyssaBWills said on X: "Cannot be the only one thinking this Aldi wooden toy event and the chaos around it is absolutely mental. Why are women acting like they can't get a pack of 3 wooden cars anywhere else but Aldi at 8am on a random Thursday morning? They've hyped it up way too much. Lunacy."

Another shopper @WarningAFanGirl added: "Just went to Aldi to try and get the wooden toy I wanted for my niece’s birthday and people were walking out with two trolleys full just to sell on eBay for double the price! @AldiUK really need to limit how many people are allowed to buy".

Another angry shopper @JobiWanderer said: "Honestly @AldiUK why can't the wooden toys be an all-year thing? They are clearly popular and it would stop people buying things they don't need to then re-sell on Vinted for 5-6 times the price."

According to X, some sellers have listed the £35 wooden kitchen for £170 on the selling platform while on eBay, some people have been listing the £7.99 wooden birthday cake for £24.99.

The wooden toys aren't the only thing that Aldi shoppers might be rushing to buy. Aldi has also launched its Specialbuys Halloween food range which you can check out here. Now available in-store and online (while stocks last), Aldi Specialbuys will be your one-stop shop for all things spooky this season - and you can make some great savings along the way.

It has a huge range of bargain spooky treats like flying saucers (40g for 99p) or Swizzels Trick or Treat Lolly Mix (just £1.99 for 330g). All of your favourite brands will be on offer - including Haribo, Cadbury and Reese's - meaning Aldi's Specialbuys is the perfect place to stock up for any trick-or-treaters that might be heading to your door.

The Specialbuys Halloween food range landed in-store on September 29 - meaning you've got plenty of time to bag some bargains before the big day. If you want to find your nearest Aldi, all you have to do is search via the store locator on its website.

But if you want to get some alternatives, other major retailers have Halloween-themed food ranges available to buy right now. Amazon is currently selling a megatub of Haribo at almost half-price for £9.99.
