New Look's 'sleek' £60 boots look 'just like' £1k Stella McCartney version

The boots are almost identical, but there's a huge price difference which could save shoppers hundreds of pounds

New Look is selling a pair of boots that are turning heads for their striking resemblance to a designer pair by Stella McCartney. The high street favourite, known for its budget-friendly fashion, might have just unveiled a new fan favourite with its Black Leather Look Knee High Stiletto Boots.

The boots mimic the style of the luxury brand's Elsa Knee-High Heeled Boots but come at a much more accessible price point. Fashion lovers can pick up the New Look version for £60, compared to the hefty £1,040 tag for the designer pair online.

Both boots boast a chic leather-look finish, a sleek pointed toe, and knee-high design. They're also both vegan friendly and feature a stylish sculpted heel.

However, there are subtle differences between the two; the Stella McCartney boots have a back zip fastening and silver hardware, while the New Look pair opts for a side zip and black hardware.

The product description for the New Look boots states: "Sleek and simple but with maximum impact, these knee-high boots are a versatile option to match with multiple outfit options. Their Comfort features make sure your day or night is a comfortable one," reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, Stella McCartney's description highlights: "New for Winter 2024, these Elsa boots are crafted from Stella McCartney's butter-soft vegan alternative to leather. Shaped to a streamlined, knee-high silhouette with an exaggerated pointed toe, they sit comfortably on a 90mm sculpted heel."

Shoppers have been leaving reviews online for the New Look boots, with one customer describing them as "very elegant" and adding: "Lovely to wear with a long dress."

Another shopper noted: "Nice boots but a bit big around the calf." The sentiment about the calf size was echoed by others who found the boots "lovely", yet too large in that area.

One disappointed customer said: "They are far too big around the calf area - on the model they look like a much tighter/ tailored fit, which was what I wanted. So disappointed I had to send them back."

While the New Look boots come with a price tag of £59.99, they stand as a budget-friendly alternative to the Stella McCartney Elsa Knee-High Heeled Boots, which are retailing at £1,040 online – offering shoppers a potential saving of around £980.
