Amazon shoppers are thrilled with the results of a scented oil that promises to moisturise skin and fight frizz. OUAI Rose Hair and Body Oil is marketed as an anti-frizz hair and skin moisturizing oil spray and it's proving popular.

Rosehip, absinthium and shea oil are blended together to give a moisture boost and lock it in for both your hair and skin alike. It has a glossy finish that fights off frizz and will leave you looking great.

It has OUAI's Melrose Place scent which is incredibly luxurious. It opens up with berries, champagne, lychee and pink peppercorn which will briefly linger before deepening to a floral bouquet of freesia, rose, jasmine, peony and bergamot. The base notes, which will stick around for hours, are comforting cedarwood, white musk, sandalwood and amber.

One shopper said: "This oil is perfect for silver, mature dry hair. The formula has a slightly pink tint, (due ingredient rosa moscata?). It is not yellow/tobacco coloured, like most other oils, so it doesn't discolour and yellow my natural silver hair, which is very dry, frizzy, thick and dense. I need to use oil after towel drying, after any low heat drying, and just about every other day.

"My hair dries out quickly, which make it look fuzzy and wooly :(( Long hair only looks good if it's well groomed, especially when you're over 60. I think I found the solution! This oil is ideal - light, absorbs well and doesn't "sit" on the surface, or make it feel greasy, or weighed down."

A second said: "I like the pump mechanism, doesn’t throw out too much or over pour, no spillage, smells light and rose scented but not too overpowering. And the oil itself isn’t sticky or make your hair look dirty."

A third wrote: "Scent is not overpowering and does not linger, but very pleasant. Quickly absorbs into my skin and I love how soft and supple it feels after, especially over a rich lotion. It agrees with my relaxed hair and it feels like such a treat each time I use it."

A fourth added: "I love this product. I can't allow my hair to airdry because the frizz is overwhelming and my hair looks terrible. This product tames my frizz and I can now let my hair airdry with no frizz. I'm so happy to not always be forced to blow dry and straighten my hair. The scent is pleasant but very light. I really don't notice it at all, so if you want something fragrant you might be disappointed. Overall I highly recommend this product."

Not everyone is a fan, one unhappy shopper found that it didn't suit her hair type and had a prominent smell. They said: "Saw my friend was using it and was thinking to give it a try. I like the texture of it since it's not too oily and it absorbs quickly. However, the down side is the smell of rose - which is kind of disgusting after a few uses. It does not exactly smell like rose, it kind of gets gross after you get used to it. NOT RECOMMEND it for hair! It's too oily to put on hair, unless you have thick, frizzy, coarse hair. It absolutely did not suit my type of hair - which is fine and smooth. I won't buy again."

It is worth noting it is marketed for frizzy hair and boasts a rose scent. There are other hair oils on the market, such as Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Glossy™ Nourishing Anti-Frizz Hair Oil which is £33 or Beauty Pie's £15 Super Healthy Hair™. You can get OUAI Rose Hair and Body Oil for £28 on Amazon.
