Buying a new set of headphones can be quite a daunting prospect. Not only are there seemingly endless options out there, but prices can rocket up to eye-watering levels.

That's why it's always a good idea to jump on a well-reviewed product when you can - particularly if a handy deal brings its price down. That's exactly the case with these Soundcore by Anker Q20i Headphones, which are currently reduced from £49.99 to £33.81 in a limited-time deal.

These are seriously high-tech headphones - they're noise cancelling (a must, particularly if you've got a busy commute and you want to block out the noise around you), up to 60 hours of battery life (depending on what mode you're in) and dual connections - meaning you can simultaneously connect to two devices via Bluetooth. It also folds up into a nice small package, so you can carry it around easily when not in use, and comes in three colours: black, blue and white.

These headphones have no wires to faff around with, and with in-built microphones, you can use them for calls as well as listening to music. With 16,111 global ratings and an average of 4.6 stars out of 5, they certainly seem to have struck a chord with customers.

"These headphones are amazing. The sound quality is good and the noise cancellation is even better. I have used them mainly while travelling and the noise cancellation helps a lot on the airplane. Battery life is awesome too. It tells you how much charge it has when you switch it on and I haven’t had to charge mine as of yet," one shopper raved.

"I‘m impressed with the quality of sound out of these, much much better than you might expect for the comparatively cheap price. They also feel good quality, sturdy and well-built. Comfortable to wear for hours at a time - and a good long-lasting several hours of use battery life between charges," a second said.

Comfort seemed to be a key theme among shoppers, with a third writing: "The comfort is top-notch! The ear cushions are super soft and fit snugly without causing any discomfort, even during extended listening sessions."

Some customers had a few less complimentary notes to share, like one who said: "Personal issue but found them too heavy. Sounded great but returned. No fault of the product." Another shopper added: "They sound great, but are so big that they fall off when running."

If you want to look at alternatives, on the more premium end of the scale are the Bose QuietComfort SC Headphones, which are currently reduced to £194.95 from £319.95. Alternatively, Currys sells the JBL Tune 670NC Wireless Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Headphones for £89.99 in multiple colours.
