Huge turnout for SBFM Industries Customer Day fair
by Jane Moh · Borneo Post OnlineSIBU (Nov 2): SBFM Industries Sdn Bhd (SBFM Industries) welcomed some 1,400 customers on the first day of its SBFM Customer Day Foods and Machineries Fair on Friday.
SBFM Industries administration manager Kong Sing Teck said they were expecting about 2,500 customers today and on Sunday respectively.
“The response was actually very good — way better than I expected. Yesterday (Friday), despite working days, there were still people who came and I also think because it was a school holiday and so parents came with their children.
“Today, we are expecting 2,500 people, the same thing with tomorrow, we are also expecting 2,500 people and hopefully more since it is Sunday,” he said.
Kong, who is the also the fair’s organising chairman, said they are making sure that there is a good traffic flow and customers are able to park nearby the factory for their conveniences.
He said it was good parents were coming with their children as they got to play games and have a feel on how to make noodles.
“We really thank you for the support from our customers. Hopefully, they will continue to support us and not just this time.
“One of the reasons we do this is also to allow the members of the public to know the locally made products. When they go to the supermarket and they see the logo and packaging, they will recognise that the products are from SBFM Industries,” he said.
He also said the locally made products are actually good quality and in fact fresher than imported products.
Meanwhile, the three-day programme is held from Nov 1-Nov 3 and is in conjunction with SBFM Industries’ 50th Anniversary celebration.
The fair starts at 7am and ends at 2pm and is a way to show appreciation to customers for their continuous support.
Throughout the fair, customers can purchase KTS food products at a special price and those who come to the fair are also entitled to an ‘Entrance Lucky Draw’.
Those who make purchases of at least RM20 will also be entitled to lucky draws as well.
There is also a children’s corner where they got to learn how to make the noodle and the biscuits are made. There are also station games for them to enjoy.
