Amazon slashes price of CeraVe's 'miracle' cream for soft skin 'overnight' in Prime Day sale

by · Manchester Evening News

Amazon has reduced the price of a moisturiser that users say is a 'miracle cream' for achieving "soft and smooth skin" while asleep. In Amazon's latest Prime Big Deal Days sale, CeraVe's highly praised skincare range has lower than normal prices.

The line is popular with lots of people due to its suitability across different skin types, being helpful for those with extremely dry to oily and sensitive skin. During the flash sale event, customers have the chance to purchase the sought-after Face and Body Moisturiser Cream for Dry to Very Dry Skin, which is now only £10.76 for a 454g tub - reduced from £17.

CeraVe products are 'developed with dermatologists', with this moisturiser featuring a 'fast-absorbing' and 'non-greasy' formula that aims to soften the skin in 'hours'. It is enhanced with hyaluronic acid, 3 essential ceramides, and MVE technology "for sustained 24-hour hydration", as reported by the Mirror.

With thousands of positive reviews worldwide, the Face and Body Moisturiser Cream holds an impressive average rating of 4.6 out of five stars on Amazon. One customer, who rated it five stars, shared: "This is a really good moisturiser. It's gentle but very effective and you can feel the effects overnight."

A second claimed that "it was like a miracle", adding: "I applied one application and waited to see what the result would be. With other popular brands I had to apply sometimes twice in the day. A week later, with only one application of CeraVe, my skin was only just beginning to show another application would be needed."

"In my opinion it is without a doubt the Holy Grail of skin care for those who value the condition of their skin. I am no longer embarrassed by the condition of mine, which is now soft and smooth. Thank you CeaVe."

Another review read: "I am so impressed with this cream as it makes my skin feel amazing with minimal to no irritation. I can't recommend it enough to people with sensitive skin."

A fourth commented: "After using this cream for a couple of months, I have seen a very positive result. The consistency is also thick, so it's great for very dry skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth all day." Another satisfied customer shared: "I got a sample of this wonder cream. Won't turn back now!"

However, not everyone was pleased with the product. Some users have complained that the cream "didn't help" and others mentioned it "leaves a greasy and oily residue on your hands afterwards".

One reviewer claimed: "I was surprisingly disappointed given the great reviews. Cream was greasy and didn't soften my skin one bit."

Elsewhere, alternatives like the E45 Moisturising Cream for Dry Skin, which is £9.99 at Superdrug, are suggested for those still seeking skin moisturisation and softness. Additionally, Boots customers can purchase the store's own brand Derma Care Daily Moisturising Cream for £9.50.

The 500ml bottle comes with a built-in pump and is also available in a three-pack for £19.99, a saving of £8.51 compared to buying separately.
