New Look shoppers swear longline £56 puffer jacket in the sale looks like expensive £400 version

Now that we're days away from October, many fashion fans will be digging out their winter coats before the icy-cold temperatures truly set in. If your coats from previous years are looking a bit worse for wear, or you want to add another into your rotation, then you'll want to check out out New Look.

The high street retailer has slashed the price of a popular coat that, while not 100% identical, looks similar to a £400 designer version. The Navy Faux Fur Trim Hood Long Puffer Coat usually retails for £74.99 but shoppers can pick it up for an even friendlier £56.24, offering a total saving of almost £19.

The longline puffer shares a lot of similarities with the £399 Chamonix Coat from Holland Cooper. Opting for New Look's version would save you over £342, which is undeniably a considerable amount of money.

Both coats have been constructed from a padded shell fabric to ensure ultimate warmth during the colder months. They also feature a faux-fur trim to add extra protection against the elements. New Look's £56 coat is completed with with a side lit and a press-stud front zip with an elasticated waist that cinches the waist slightly to add shape to the piece.

Shoppers can pick up the Navy Faux Fur Trim Hood Long Puffer Coat in sizes six to 22, all of which are still in stock. The retailer is also offering it in mink and black for £56.24, if you would prefer either of those colour options.
