Brand new Cheese Bites, which contain Mozzarella and Emmental in a smoky caramelised onion flavoured breadcrumb coating, will be served with BBQ Dip. They will be sold for £2.49 for five, or as a sharebox of 15 for £6.79.

Two new drinks will also launch. The are the new Toasted Marshmallow Latte and a Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate.

Breakfast fans will be able to get Mini Hash Browns, priced at £1.49 for five pieces, or £2.99 for a sharebox of 15.

Joining these new items will be some returning fan favourites, the Mirror reports.

The McCrispy Deluxe contains a chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating topped with hot and spicy mayo, caramelised onion, lettuce, bacon, red onions and cheddar cheese, and comes in a sourdough style bun. It will cost £5.99 for the burger on its own, or £7.79 for a medium meal.

Maccies fans can also tuck into two returning McFlurries - the Halloween M&M's McFlurry or the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry. Each one is priced at £2.19 or £1.59 for a mini version.

The Toffee Apple Pie will also return to the menu. The crispy pastry dessert comes filled with a spiced apple compote, toffee sauce and toffee pieces.

The McRib sandwich will also be making a return on October 16 - following an almost ten year absence. The McRib contains a boneless pork patty covered in BBQ sauce, with onions, pickles, and a toasted bun.

The McRib was first launched in 1981 but was discontinued four years later. It has returned several times since then and was last on sale in the UK in 2015.

The four items being added to the menu are:

  • Cheese Bites
  • Toasted Marshmallow Latte
  • Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate
  • Mini Hash Browns

The five items returning to the menu are:

  • McCrispy Deluxe
  • Halloween M&M's McFlurry
  • Galaxy Caramel McFlurry
  • Toffee Apple Pie
  • McRib

Maccies fans were excited to learn that the McRib sandwich will be returning to the menu, after several years of calls for it to make a comeback.

After announcing the news last week, many fans expressed their delight on social media.

One, writing on X, formerly Twitter, said: "This is brilliant they should never have got rid!" Another added: "McRib is back, baby!!!" A third wrote: "It’s happening people! The McRib is back after sooooo many years!!"
