Home Bargains has launched a charming Christmas decoration that looks similar to a far pricier brand. The latest offering is a light up paper snowman retailing at a bargain price of £7.99.

The store's new Nordic Spirit Light Up Paper Snowman Decoration is strikingly reminiscent of a similar item by the designer homeware brand The Worm That Turned, yet it comes at a fraction of the cost. While the Home Bargains version is available for under £8, the Honeycomb Light Up Snowman Decoration from the other brand would set you back by £42.95 online.

Both items share a classic paper construction, a structured build, and the iconic snowman figure. Each is battery-operated, featuring illumination options and an integrated timer function for added convenience.

Despite these similarities, there are some differences. Notably, The Worm That Turned snowman is somewhat taller and includes magnetic clips to secure the folded paper structure.

Home Bargains product description reads: "Create a warm, Scandinavian inspired Christmas atmosphere with the Nordic Spirit Light Up Paper Snowman Decoration. This elegant paper snowman stands at approximately 50 x 30cm, making it a beautiful centrepiece for your festive decoration," reports the Mirror.

Further enticing customers, the description adds: "With its soft, glowing light and built-in timer function, it automatically turns on and off, adding a cosy touch to your home. Battery operated for easy placement, this stylish snowman is perfect for bringing a peaceful Nordic charm to any room this holiday season!"

The product description on The Worm That Turned website states: "Give your home a little Scandi chic with these wonderful, glowing abstract light up Christmas Snowmen made from concertinaed synthetic paper. The Snowman are made in a durable synthetic paper material which folds out."

It added: "There are magnetic clips to hold the concertinaed paper in place. Each Snowman has a static globe light and a 6 hour timer. The lights are battery operated, they take 3AA batteries."

The Worm That Turned Honeycomb Light Up Snowman Decorations costs £42.95 online, while Home Bargains' Nordic Spirit Light Up Paper Snowman Decoration is priced at £7.99, allowing shoppers to save almost £35 by choosing the more affordable option.
