Tesco issues urgent product recall warning over mince pies

Customers are being urged to not eat the mince pies and return the product to the supermarket

Tesco is recalling a six-pack of mince pies after concerns that they may contain pieces of dried glue. The Food Standards Agency issued the food alert on Thursday, October 3, and stated that the products could contain small pieces of dry glue from the packaging which makes them unsafe to eat.

Anyone who bought a pack of the Tesco Finest Six All Butter Pastry Mince Pies should check the best-before date. Boxes with a date of October 4, October 26, November 2 and November 10 for this year are being recalled.

The food alert states: "Tesco are recalling Tesco Finest 6 All Butter Pastry Mince Pies because they may contain pieces of dried glue from packaging which makes them unsafe to eat.

Customers who have purchased the mince pies are being urged to not eat them. Instead, they should return the item to any Tesco store for a full refund.
