A group of passengers scheduled to travel on an IndiGo flight faced backlash on social media after a video of them screaming at ground staff at an airport went viral. The footage, which shows the passengers lashing out at female ground staff near the boarding gate, sparked outrage among viewers, who condemned their aggressive behaviour.

It appears that the passengers ended up waiting at the airport for hours after the airline failed to notify them regarding the delayed flight.

“Chhote bachche 5 ghante se yahaan wait kar rahe hain. Aap kya kar raho ho (Children are waiting here for five hours. What are you even doing)?” a furious man told the IndiGo staff at the counter who were busy sorting out the issue.

One of the women passengers also joined in, and said, “Aap sirf timepass kar rahe hain. Aise thodi na chalta hai (You are only wasting time here. This won’t work).” Meanwhile, another passenger added, “Doosre sab flights chale gaye. Yehi kyun nahi jaa raha hai (All other flights have taken off. Why isn’t this flight taking off)?”

All this while, the female ground staff maintained a calm and composed attitude, and attempted to answer the passengers’ queries politely.

While social media users acknowledged that IndiGo should have provided necessary details, they asserted that the passengers’ aggressive behaviour was not justified at all. Several users also applauded the female ground staff for refraining from misbehaving with the passengers.
