FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship is a golden opportunity for international students, offering world-class education at one of Japan’s premier institutions.

The programme covers Robotics Engineering and Bioengineering under the Graduate School of Engineering Science, and only four students will be admitted to each programme.

These positions are spread across three departments:

  • Department of Materials Engineering Science

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this prestigious Osaka University scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality: You must be from a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Japan.
  • Age: Born on or after April 2, 1990.
  • Education:
    For the Master’s programme, applicants need a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, or be recognised as equivalent by Osaka University.
    For the Doctoral programme, a master’s degree or equivalent research experience is required.
  • English Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate solid English skills, meeting one of the following thresholds: TOEFL-iBT 79, TOEFL-PBT 550, or IELTS 6.0.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Successful candidates will receive generous funding, including:

  • Monthly allowance: å147,000 for Master’s students and å148,000 for Doctoral students.
  • Fee exemptions: You won’t need to worry about application, examination, admission, or tuition fees, as these will be completely waived.

However, it's essential to stay focused—if you repeat a year, the funding will not extend beyond the designated programme duration.
