Comedian Kunal Kamra on Monday took a dig at Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, a day after an online clash between the two went viral. Taking a dig, the comic said the Ola CEO worked on a Sunday "to prove himself wrong".

His remarks came after the shares of Ola Electric Mobility, the two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, dropped by 8% earlier today. This marks the third consecutive day of losses for the company, which has now experienced declines in five of the last six trading sessions.

"Bhavish Aggarwal who thought Sunday should be a working day, Worked Yesterday to prove himself wrong," Kamra said in a tweet.

Earlier, tensions between the two flared when Kunal Kamra publicly criticised the company on X, highlighting what he termed inadequate service centres and a lack of refunds for dissatisfied customers. His tweet quickly escalated into a heated exchange with CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, drawing in frustrated customers and market observers.

This public spat has put the spotlight on ongoing customer complaints about the company’s service. Issues related to after-sales support, particularly regarding refunds and the accessibility of service centres, have been persistent problems. Aggarwal's confrontational response has ignited widespread criticism across social media.

The war of words began when Aggarwal posted a picture of the Ola Gigafactory with a heart emoji, tagging the company’s Business Head, Vishal Chaturvedi. In response, Kamra retweeted the post and shared an image of several Ola scooters collecting dust outside a service centre. He tagged Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, and the Consumer Affairs Ministry, questioning whether Indian consumers deserve such treatment. In retaliation, Aggarwal sarcastically invited Kamra to "help" with the services of electric vehicles, offering to pay him “more than his failed comedy career.”
