A multi-purpose cleaner which boasts green credentials and wins high praise from shoppers is now on sale at Dunelm for half-price.

The environmentally-friendly JML Doktor Power Multi-Task Foam Action Cleaner currently has 50% off its usual price, selling for £2.50 on the lifestyle store site instead of £5. The cleaner, which claims it 'fights dirt and grime, any place any time', is described as non-toxic, having no harmful chemicals and being biodegradable.

Dunelm buyers have described Doktor Power, which is suitable for kitchens - including pots and pans - and bathrooms, as "wonderful" and a "great cleaner". One review included: "Truly powerful product. Makes housework a breeze" and called it "truly unbelievable".

Another said it makes worktop marks disappear and advised sparing use while the other reviewer wrote: "I use this for absolutely everything. It makes cleaning easy and lasts for ages."

The cleaner is currently on sale as part of a Dunelm 50% off clearance. The non-toxic product has also earned top praise elsewhere, with reviews on Amazon, for instance, calling it "excellent"; a "fantastic product" and "really brilliant for everything".

One Amazon reviewer wrote: "This cleans where some other cleaners won't" but there were also some people not as taken with the product, with one claiming it is no better than other cleaners and another saying they had "expected more from the Wow description". One said that, being a small tub, it did not go far.

The JML site is currently selling its Doktor Power Multi-Purpose Cleaner, which it says has featured on C4's Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners, for £9.99, and the Robert Dyas site has the power foam action product for £5.99. Those looking for other options can find a 850g tub of The Pink Stuff on sale on Amazon at £5.30, reduced from £9.99, while the Purdy & Figg company - maker of natural cleaning sprays - is inviting people to try its Counter Clean product for £15 instead of £40.
