Amazon knocks £20 off electric foot warmer branded 'best buy ever' for cold days

Shoppers hailed the Beurer Cosy Foot Warmer as a 'godsend' for autumn and winter with its toasty fleece lining and three temperature settings

Amazon shoppers are rushing to buy an "amazing" gadget for staying cosy on cold days that many have credited for saving them a "fortune" in heating bills.

The Beurer Cosy Foot Warmer in taupe has seen its price slashed from £52.99 down to £31.99 in a Lightning Deal - this means that only limited quantities are available at the reduced price, so be sure to snap it up while you can. Also available in grey for the discounted price of £37.45, the electric foot warmer has three temperature settings to get your toes toasty in no time, finished off with a super snug teddy fleece lining.

With more than 1,500 reviews from Amazon shoppers, the foot warmer has earned an average rating of 4.2 out of five stars, with many praising both its cosiness and its ease of use. Several customers also pointed out that it was a far cheaper alternative to putting the central heating on or investing in an electric heater to keep their feet warm on chilly evenings.

One person said in a five-star review: "So glad I invested in this product. I say invested because it saved me a fortune while relaxing or watching TV. I no longer have the heating on so much or so high when the main part of me that getting cold is my feet."

Another reviewer agreed: "Loving this! My feet get very cold working at home with a desk by the window at this time of year, but this is excellent. It takes a while to warm up, but after 10 minutes or so on the top heat setting it gets really cosy and comfy. With my feet cosy I don't need to heat the room so much."

A third Amazon shopper praised: "This foot warmer is about as easy as it gets to use. Even without heating, just putting my feet into the snuggly enclosure made my feet feel instantly warmer. Then turning the heat on made them toasty in a matter of minutes. Overall this is must buy if you suffer from cold feet. Easy to use and fast results."

And someone else wrote: "My husband has very poor circulation which means his hands and feet are always cold. This has been a real issue when we sit down in the evening to watch TV. I bought this for him as a Christmas present and it works really well. He says it's the best present ever!"

Overall, around eight in 10 shoppers awarded the foot warmer either four or the full five stars, although some reviewers said they found the heating element to be "ineffective" or "not strong enough". A few customers also complained that the fleece lining, which is removable and machine washable, moved around and was "inconvenient".

There are plenty of options to keep your feet toasty over on the high street too, including the Silentnight Comfort Control Cosy Heated Foot Warmer, available for £36 at Boots when you use the code WELLNESSPOWERED at the checkout to save 10%, and the Dreamland Revive Me Comfy Electric Foot Warmer, on sale for its cheapest price of £43.23 at John Lewis as well as on Amazon. One of the most budget-friendly options is the StaySnug Heated Foot Warmer, which looks almost identical to the Beurer model and can be found at Lakeland for £34.99.

For another alternative to putting the heating on in this chilly weather that will warm up your whole body, Amazon shoppers have also heaped praise on the Warmer Electric Heated Throw Blanket, which is equipped with nine heat settings and a timer and has been hailed as a "life saver" for the colder months. Available in a range of colours and sizes and priced at £42.49 for the most popular choice - grey in extra large - the throw is made with double-sided coral fleece for an ultra cosy feel, which can be popped in the washing machine to keep it looking its best.

With nearly 2,500 ratings on Amazon, the throw has earned an average rating of 4.4 out of five stars from shoppers, with hundreds rushing to buy it over the past month. Reviewers said it was ideal for working from home on cold days, as well as for cosying up on the sofa with or as a snug extra layer in bed - read more about it here.
