Buckingham Palace confirms The Queen spent a night in hospital

Concerns are growing for the head of the Commonwealth after it was revealed The Queen has spent a night in hospital.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that The Queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon, following medical advice to rest for a few days.

That’s after the 95-year-old Monarch cancelled a trip to Northern Ireland, in order to rest.

The statement from the Palace had said she was disappointed about cancelling the trip.

“Following medical advice to rest for a few days, The Queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, and remains in good spirits,” the Palace said.
