A body, believed to be a man in his 30s, is found after the blast which killed a seven-year-old boy.

A second body has been found after an explosion destroyed a residential building in Newcastle.

The explosion happened in the earlier hours of Wednesday

The body - believed to be that of a man in his 30s - was found in the debris by emergency crews.

An explosion in the Benwell area of the city took place at around 12.45am yesterday, with several flats reduced to rubble and a huge emergency response in the area.
