Rishabh Pant will be the wicketkeeper for the team in the opening game. Pant is the primary wicketkeeper for the team in ICC T20 World Cup 2021. During the warm-up match, he showed a good batting performance against England by hitting an unbeaten 29 off 14.

Suryakumar Yadav might be picked at the middle-order in the game against Pakistan. Yadav, who was struggling with his form recently, showed a good performance in a warm-up match.
