Despite the patrolling agreement with China, which was announced earlier this week, it will take time to rebuild trust and for the two countries to be willing to work with each other, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said.

India's recent agreement with China on patrolling along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) was achieved through military strength and diplomacy, says External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday credited the breakthrough agreement with China on patrolling along the Line of Actual Control to the military which worked in 'very very unimaginable' conditions and deft diplomacy.

Speaking to students in Pune, S Jaishankar revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping had discussed the path forward during their meeting at the BRICS summit in Russia.

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar held comprehensive talks with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on Friday and discussed various regional and global matters.
