Three people have been found dead and four have been taken to hospital after an incident at a care home in the UK, police said.

A councillor claimed there was a 'suspicion' that the incident could be 'attributed to carbon monoxide'

Dorset police have said that there there is ‘nothing to indicate any risk to the wider public’ in the south-west England town.

Emergency services are at the scene at a care home in Ulwell Road, Swanage.

Dorset Police received a report at 7.16am after the three elderly residents were found dead at Gainsborough Care Home in Swanage, Dorset.

Emergency services are at the scene with remaining residents having been evacuated to a safe location

Dorset Police said the deaths are currently being treated as unexplained

Crews raced to the care home after receiving the alarm at 5.20am on Wednesday.
