Shubman Gill notched up his fifth century at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in the ongoing Test match against Bangladesh. He had bagged an 8-ball duck in the first innings but made amends for it in the second. Gill has done so more often this year becoming a second innings specialist.

The Indian dugout was in splits after Rohit Sharma was caught hitting Shubman Gill on his jaw playfully during the Chennai Test match. Kohli, Rohit and Shubman shared a light moment as India dominated Bangladesh on Day 2 in Chennai.

Shubman Gill recovered from a poor start in the Chennai Test against Bangladesh as he completed his fifth century in the longest format of the game having recorded a duck in the first innings. Earlier, Rishabh Pant also completed his century as India are in comfortable position in the first Test.

Second innings expert Shubman Gill silenced his doubters as he scored his 6th Test hundred on Saturday, September 21. Gill got to the landmark in 161 balls.
