Here are score predictions for the Seahawks’ Week 8 game against the Bills at Lumen Field from The Seattle Times sports staff.

Week 8 vs. Bills

Mike Vorel (5-2)

Bills 28, Seahawks 24: In their most formidable test of the season, the Seahawks will struggle to contain Bills quarterback Josh Allen. And while Seattle will find some success against a Buffalo defense surrendering 5.1 yards per carry (29th in the NFL), the likely absence of DK Metcalf will limit the Seahawks’ explosive plays in a narrow home defeat.

Bob Condotta (4-3)

Seahawks 27, Bills 23: The Bills have had a couple of rough games but in general are playing like a Super Bowl contender. It barely needs stating that not having DK Metcalf — if that happens — wouldn’t help the Seahawks’ cause. But they might have found something last week in Atlanta when they controlled a game from the start. And now they return home. Here’s to thinking the Seahawks use the crowd and the wave of last week to get another big win.

Matt Calkins (4-3)

Bills 27, Seahawks 24: This feels like a toss-up given what Seattle did last Sunday and that it has home-field advantage. But the Bills are legit Super Bowl contenders boasting one of the best QBs in the game. Advantage Buffalo on this one.

Scott Hanson (3-3)

Bills 31, Seahawks 28: Bills star quarterback Josh Allen has struggled on the road this year, but that could change with the addition of receiver Amari Cooper. It should be a high-scoring, entertaining game.

Tim Booth (0-0)

Bills 30, Seahawks 24: The Seahawks are 15-15 in their last 30 home games dating to the 2020 wild-card round loss to the Rams. Until proven otherwise, Seattle is no longer a feared place for opponents as evidenced by two straight home losses to the Giants and 49ers. And now come the Bills with all the problems Josh Allen can present and the Seahawks with injury questions at key spots.
