Police have moved to reveal a minute-by-minute breakdown over Liam Payne’s death from the first 911 call to tragic third-floor fall. The ITV The X Factor star, who hailed from Wolverhampton, died aged 31 in Buenos Aires in Argentina this week.

At 4.26pm, Liam was pictured by another guest laying on a sofa in the lobby on his laptop, where he would go on to smash the computer in front of witnesses. At 4.28pm, he was photograpged by a lift in the CasaSur Hotel lobby in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Concerned hotel staff then dialled 911 at 5.01pm asking for police to be sent. At 5.04pm, officers were assigned to go to the scene and a minute later at 5.05pm a patrol car arrived at the hotel. At 5.07pm, police reported a person had plunged from the third floor.

Paramedics arrived at the scene at 5.11pm local time (9.11pm UK time), and Liam was tragically pronounced dead. Payne was allegedly 'bickering with a woman over finances' just before his untimely death, offering her cash in the process.

A guest named Michael Fleischmann remarked that Liam appeared 'a little wild' while he was embroiled in an argument with an unidentified woman about money just before his fatal fall. According to the American guest, Liam insisted to the woman: "I'll give you $20,000 (£15,311) dollars just because I can.

"I have $55 million and I like to help people." He noted that the woman responded in Spanish, with the hotel manager acting as an interpreter during the exchange around 2pm local time. Fleischmann, speaking to the Buenos Aires Herald, only realised that the man 'with an English accent who seemed to be causing a disturbance' in the hotel lobby was the One Direction singer after news broke of his death.

Fleischmann described the singer as 'very upset, agitated, a little wild, walking around and pacing' while also being 'very energised.' Despite the apparent turmoil of his last hours, the 31 year old 'Strip That Down' singer had dedicated his final weeks to spreading happiness and assisting those in need. Liam, who had a seven year old son Bear with former partner Cheryl Tweedy, was driven by a sense of fatherly compassion.
