Big Brother host Will Best revealed he was having "emergency physio" ahead of the launch show as he was "not able to move". The presenter admitted he'd recently been suffering from "a stiff neck", while his co-host AJ Odudu had also "lost her voice".

Appearing on Capital Breakfast with Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby, Will admitted they were both battling ailments in the run up to the second series hitting screens. The iconic reality TV show will return to ITV2 on Sunday, October 6.

He said: "I’ve got a stiff neck. It’s a bit better today, yesterday was bad, I’ve got an emergency physio in a couple of hours after this. It’s always good to, just before the biggest show of the year, when you’re going to be live for six weeks, with all kinds of mad stuff, to not be able to move."

The Mirror reports that Jordan then pointed out that AJ was also in a predicament as she'd lost her voice. Will confirmed that was the case and added: "I saw her yesterday, we did a podcast record. That’s why she’s not doing radio today!"

Will said he was experiencing some nerves ahead of the live shows but said he was excited to meet the new housemates. He said: "Of course I get nervous, because I love this show so much, so I’m nervous that we’re going to do it justice, the format justice, I’m nervous how the housemates will do, but once we get to Sunday, just before we go live, the nerves sort of disappear. I can’t wait to meet these people."

The new series of Big Brother starts on Sunday, October 6. Catch it at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. People can tune into Capital Breakfast weekdays from 6am to 10am across the UK and on Global Player.
