by Katy Hallam, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/katy-hallam/, Janine Yaqoob · Birmingham LiveRuth Langsford's legal team is reportedly meticulously piecing together a timeline of Eamonn's new relationship in preparation for divorce discussions. This comes after reports that Eamonn, 64, and Katie Alexander, 43, first made contact 12 years ago, during which they allegedly exchanged flirtatious messages online.
Insiders close to the estranged couple reveal that lawyers representing Loose Women star Ruth, 64, are gathering information on specific dates and times related to her ex's burgeoning relationship. They're also ready to converse with dating counsellor Katie's former husband if necessary.
An insider shared: "Ruth's legal team are compiling a forensically detailed account of Eamonn's relationship with Katie and when it started. Ruth's team are doing their due diligence ahead of the divorce proceedings. They are prepared to speak to people in Ruth and Eamonn's wider circle."

Last week, claims surfaced that Eamonn and Katie had sent flirtatious messages to each other online 12 years ago. The conversation also included Katie's husband George, who humorously remarked: "Think she's flirting with you."
Following these reports, Eamonn and mother-of-three Katie reached out to their former partners to assure them that their relationship only commenced after their previous relationships had definitively ended. The source added: "Katie and Eamonn have been scrambling around to tell their respective exes that they were not romantically involved way back then.", reports the Mirror.
After 14 years together, TV favourites Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, parents to 22 year old Jack, have announced their separation in May. They shared a joint statement: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."
Ruth has reportedly engaged the services of top-notch solicitor Catherine Costley, who once worked with the nation's leading divorce lawyer, Baroness Fiona Shackleton known for representing the King in his divorce from Diana and Sir Paul McCartney.
Eamonn and his new partner Katie made their debut as a couple at the Irish Post Awards this week. Meanwhile, Ruth cracked a joke about her soon-to-be ex-husband Eamonn on Loose Women, quipping: "I'm throwing out a lot of stuff out at the minute! " which had the audience in fits of laughter.
It's believed that Eamonn and Katie have been an item for six months, having already enjoyed trips to Belfast and a Mediterranean cruise. Katie, originally from Yorkshire, shares a 22 year old son named Ben with her former partner, coach driver Michael Devine.
She's also a mum to two more children from her previous marriage to pub owner George Alexander; they parted ways in 2022 after several years, which followed her initial online connection with the GB News presenter. George and Katie ended their relationship on good terms, with Eamonn Holmes not being a factor in their separation.
George revealed that his former wife maintained a friendship with Eamonn post-divorce, stating: "I was surprised by it," and adding, "Katie would go and visit him. It was a regular pattern." Despite George's assertion that his marriage breakdown wasn't influenced by the television host, there have been whispers that Ruth Langsford grew concerned in the lead-up to their own split after learning Eamonn had been lavishing Katie with presents.
Allegations include Eamonn accompanying her and her kids to a safari park and gifting them Beyonce concert tickets. When reached out for a statement, representatives for Ruth and Eamonn were contacted. Ruth's spokesperson chose not to comment.
