BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans say 'he has no idea' as Chris McCausland moment exposed

by · Birmingham Live

Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland has been inundated with support from fans who claim he is 'clueless' after his private remark to Dianne Buswell was revealed.

The BBC One dance show viewers witnessed an emotional weekend in the ballroom for the quick-witted comedian as he traded comedy for a touching waltz with Dianne.

Chris, Strictly's first blind contestant, and Dianne danced to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, paying tribute to Chris' beloved hometown and football club.

Their tear-jerking performance received a standing ovation from the studio audience, with Dianne telling Chris she was "so proud of him".

The judges, including an emotional Shirley Ballas, were quick to heap praise on the routine before awarding them a total of 35 points out of a possible 40 - their highest score in the BBC One dance competition so far, reports the Manchester Evening News.

During Sunday night's (October 20) results show, it was confirmed that Chris and Dianne had progressed to week six of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, which is the show's annual Halloween special. They will perform a Samba to Stayin Alive' by The Bee Gees.

However, ahead of their new routine, Strictly has shared a recap of the weekend's events in the ballroom via the hidden microphones worn by the contestants and their professional dance partners.

After Chris' performance, a touching moment was caught by the microphone as he asked his dance partner Dianne: "Did I do okay? " To this, Dianne seemed to respond with: "You did so good," followed by further expressions of praise and encouragement before they headed towards Tess Daly for feedback, where an emotional Chris leaned on her shoulder for support.

The post sparked a wave of compliments from Strictly fans online. @mfi87301 remarked: "You did more than ok Chris, you and Dianne created strictly magic."

@maxbiddle98 noted: "'Did I do ok? ' This man has no idea how good he is, and I don't mean because he's blind." @emilyburton848 stated: "I actually heard Chris and Dianne say that at the end! That just pushed me over the edge. Such an emotional dance."

@eddo_official commented: "Chris doesn't realise how amazing he is." Meanwhile, @_. jules. _74 shared: "If you couldn't love @chrismccauslandcomedy more, he then ask beautiful @diannebuswell 'Did I do OK? ' Perfect reply from Dianne.
