BBC Strictly Come Dancing spoiler 'total surprise' as fans say 'blown my mind'

Fans were shocked as the names in the dance off were leaked and the celebrity who was sent home was revealed hours before the results show airs

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left shocked after the two contestants competing in the dance off were revealed hours ahead of the live results show. All of the celebrities and their professional dancing partners are hoping to make it through to Halloween Week next week.

But one couple has to go home, and as usual, the results have been leaked ahead of Sunday night's results show on BBC One. The results show is filmed straight after the live show on Saturday night, so the audience and crew already know who ends up in the bottom two and which celebrity is sent home.

And viewers were very surprised to learn one of the celebs that ended up in the bottom two as the spoiler was leaked online. At the top end of the leaderboard after Saturday night's live showdown were two duos - Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas and Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe. They both scored an impressive 39 points of out 40.

At the other end of the leaderboard were Punam Krishan and Gorka Márquez, who managed to score just 21 points, and Paul Merson and Karen Hauer, who received 19 points from the judges. But as fans know those at the bottom don't always end up in the dance off as the public also gets to vote to save their favourites.

And viewers were shocked by one of the celebs that ends up in the dance off tomorrow. One wrote on X after the results was leaked: "The other celebrity in the dance off is a total surprise!"

A second said: "I’m not sure whether that has left me shocked, sad or confused." And another added: "The other couple in the dance off!!!," adding a series of shocked emojis.

Another fan wrote: "This Strictly spoiler has blown my mind. While it's clear who is winning, the bottom twos are going to be WILD moving forward." And another added: "The Strictly spoiler and who was in the bottom…wow."
