Katya Jones and Wynne Evans have admitted it's a "disaster" as they speak out over their BBC Strictly Come Dancing future. Wynne, who sailed through this Saturday, appeared with the Russian pro on BBC spin-off It Takes Two on Monday night.

The Strictly Come Dancing companion show interview came a week on from GoCompare star Wynne and Russian pro Katya being at the centre of a "grope" scandal. Speaking to Fleur East, Katya said: “Storytelling for us is something that really comes natural for us. To be honest with you on Saturday dress run, I know we wanted things to go wrong but they didn’t go wrong, they went wrong wrong.”

Wynne added: “It was like a disaster. The door handle was meant to come off in my hand. Somebody thought it looked a bit loose so they stuck it extra hard, so I pulled it and the entire doorframe started falling. It wasn’t hilarious it was terrifying.

“I oiled my shoes so none of the toilet paper stuck to it. Everything went wrong it was a disaster.” Katya added: “You surprise me every Saturday while I’m dancing.” Speaking about their Quickstep routine, Fleur asked how exhausting the routine was as a whole. He replied: "I am a fat man going fast around the floor, right?

"I've got this theory, that all the pro dancers, like Jockeys, should be wearing weights, to make them the same weight as me. Then the competition would be fair!" Their routine earned them a total of 33 from the judges, which put them in fifth position on the leaderboard. x

Katya added: "You surprise me every Saturday whilst I'm dancing. I'm going, 'What is going on?!' You are two times faster, you are three times lighter, I don't know how." Responding to the interview after last week's hand row, one viewer typed: "Katya seems extremely genuine on ITT, and she didn't have to address anything if she didn't want to.

"With everything that's happened with Strictly this year, i.e Graziano and Giovanni, the BBC wouldn't let that slip, especially something that happened in front of the cameras, live. Not everything is a conspiracy or a cover up!! The welfare team have spoken to the two, and the issue has been dropped. I think it's time the media / social media drops it too."
