Jeff Lynne's ELO finally announces 'goodbye' show in Birmingham - how to get tickets

Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) are returning to Birmingham to play one last hometown show next summer, it has finally been announced. One of Britain's best-loved bands will be embarking on their final UK tour, The Over and Out Tour.

It comes after the announcement the band, founded in Birmingham, would headline London's BST Hyde Park next summer, on Sunday, July 13. Fans in their hometown were left gutted when no Birmingham dates were announced.

However it was announced this morning (October 29), ELO will perform at Birmingham's Utilita Arena on Saturday, July 5, 2025. They will also play Manchester's Co-op Live on Wednesday, July 9.

Pre-sale tickets for The Over and Out Tour 2025 will be available on Wednesday, October 30, from 10am. General sale tickets will be released at 10am on Friday, November 1.

Tickets for the Birmingham show will be available through Utilita Arena's ticket partner, AXS. The AXS pre-sale starts at 10am on Thursday, October 31. You can also buy tickets through Ticketmaster.

Known as one of the most iconic forces in music history, in recent years Jeff Lynne’s ELO has delivered a critically acclaimed and chart-topping album along with a sold-out run of UK and European shows. Jeff Lynne was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame last year and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. The band is known for hits such as Livin' Thing and Mr Blue Sky.

ELO were founded by Lynne, now 76, alongside keyboard player Roy Wood in 1970. But the original lack of a Brummie farewell was picked up on by Midland radio and TV presenter Adrian Chiles and Brummie fans.
