Wynne Evans has admitted one of his Strictly Come Dancing celeb co-stars still doesn't know his name four weeks into the competition - despite them sharing a dressing room on the BBC show. The opera singer, who rose to fame in the long-running Go Compare TV adverts, has been having an amazing time on the show, impressing the judges and audience alike last week as he took to the floors as Mrs Doubtfire for Move Night.

But he apparently hasn't made a big impression on former footballer Paul Merson. Wynne admitted his co-star doesn't know his name on spin-off show It Takes Two on Friday night.

He began to tell host Fleur East: "Last week, because I'm sharing with Paul Merson, a dressing room right?" before dance partner Katya Jones interrupted, asking 'Does he know your name?'.

Wynne then revealed: "He called be Gwyn today actually. He called me Gwyn when it's actually Wynne."

He continued: "I didn't see him last week at all because I started in wardobe around 9.30am, 10am and right up until the show started I was either in wardrobe or make-up."

Wynne also dropped his Strictly Come Dancing dance partner Katya in it as he revealed she was changing his costumes after the costume team had finished. He told Fluer: "I'll givee you a tiny bit of behind the scenes.

"We've got this amazing wardrobe department and really you shouldn't interfere with them." He then pointed at Katya, and said: "Someone loves a needle and a thread. So when they've finished sewing me into a costume, she starts...'this might come in useful, I'm going to do that again'."

He revealed she had also made a touching addition to his Mirs Doubtfire costume, adding: "When she sewed the pears into my neck, it was like awww that's so sweet."
