by · Birmingham Live

Hot on the heels of an in-game performance featuring Ice Spice and Snoop Dogg, Fortnite creator Epic Games has unveiled launch plans for Chapter 2 Remix. Set to arrive on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox consoles, PC, Android, and Nintendo Switch come November 2, Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix is generating buzz among fans.

As with any new season's arrival, there will be a period of server downtime before players can jump into the action. For those eager to know when Fortnite will go offline for maintenance and when servers will resume, the downtime schedule is detailed below.

The start of server downtime was announced by the Fortnite developer on X (formerly known as Twitter), detailing when the game will be unavailable and matchmaking disabled. "It's time to hit the Rewind button! " an Epic Games tweet declared.

"Downtime for v32.00 begins at 2 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand."

UK enthusiasts can expect matchmaking to halt around 5.30am GMT, with the game going completely offline at 6am GMT. While Epic hasn't officially stated when the game will return, new season launches typically mean extended server downtime, reports the Express.

This suggests that Fortnite might not be back online until at least 10am GMT, or possibly even 11am GMT. In a subsequent tweet, Epic confirmed that the Chapter 2 Remix download will be heftier than past updates.

"Heads up, the v32.00 game update will be a larger download in comparison to previous updates," the tweet from Epic read.

Fans can anticipate the return of the Chapter 2 map in Remix but with a few unexpected twists. The condensed season will bring new points of interest on the map, gameplay elements and characters each week.

Starting from November 2, the Agency compound has been transformed into The Doggpound, serving as the new headquarters for Snoop's enterprise. Players have the opportunity to earn Snoop's Drum Gun Mythic, unlock the LBC '93 Dogg Outfit through the Music Pass, and buy the Snoop Dogg Outfit in the Shop.

Week 2 will spotlight Eminem, followed by Ice Spice in week 3 and Juice WRLD in the final week. The Battle Pass offers around 70 different items, including the new Kicks cosmetic (shoes) available from November 12.
