More than 270 killed, 1,000+ injured as Israel mounts 'extensive' strikes targeting Hezbollah

Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Lebanese health officials said at least 274 people were killed and more than a thousand injured Monday as the Israel military "deepened" major airborne raids it said were aimed at thwarting an attack on Israel by Hezbollah.

Lebanese health minister Dr. Firass Abiad, as reported by CNN, said 1,024 were injured.
