Want to sign up and access the Monster Hunter Wilds beta? Capcom has announced that the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta is on the way and includes a limited portion of the game for players to test. Feel free to spend a long time in the character creator when putting together the perfect main character and Palico, your progress carries over to the full game when it releases.

Ahead of the Monster Hunter Wilds release date, you’ll be able to get hands on with the RPG game for the first time. The beta includes a trial of the story and opening cutscene, taking you through the Chatacabra hunt to learn the basic tutorials, as well as trying out some of the weapons on offer. You’ll also be able to take on the Doshaguma Hunt, one of the many Monster Hunter Wild monsters, and you can explore this area on your Seikret.

For PlayStation 5 and PlayStation Plus owners, you’ll be able to play the open beta ahead of other platforms, with early access taking place on the following dates:

  • PT – October 28, 2024 8pm to October 30, 2024 7:59pm
  • GMT – October 29, 2024 3am to October 31, 2024 2:59am

For PC and Xbox Series X|S, the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta takes place on the following dates, and PlayStation 5 players can also join in again, too:

  • PT – October 31, 2024 8pm to November 3, 2024 6:59pm
  • GMT – November 1, 2024 3am to November 4, 2024 2:59am

PC owners can access the game on Steam, but it has been announced that multiplayer and Monster Hunter Wilds crossplay is available during the open beta, so you’ll be able to play with pals on different platforms. If you want to team up with other players or perhaps want to see the Monster Hunter Wilds characters in play from the new NPC Support Hunter feature, you use an SOS Flare during one of the quests.
