BBC Strictly Come Dancing contestant Chris McCausland has been a fan favourite since the very first week. This week's show saw the West Derby native and his Australian dance partner Dianne Buswell embody the main characters from the 90s classic film Wayne's World.

Chris' jive landed another excellent score with judges praising his "unbelievable musicality" and "spot on timing". The pair' received a score of 30, which is their highest yet of the competition, leaving fans "in awe" of his "staggering" performance.

Taking to social media platform X, Charlie said: "How inspirational is Chris McCausland for pursuing this journey despite being blind! His determination is truly incredible. Let’s rally behind him, Strictly fans—this is going to be a wonderful experience!"

Chris lost his sight at the age of 22 following a life-altering diagnosis of retinitis pigmentosa, a rare hereditary condition which also affected his mother and grandmother. The star hasn't let it stop him dancing and has soared since joining the BBC show.

After the latest performance, X user Sarah praised the pairing and shared: "Every single week I am just in awe of Chris and Dianne, the former not only having the guts do to this show but doing it well and the latter for her skills at teaching someone like Chris. They will go far for sure."

Ellie commented: "Is it too early to say that Chris and Dianne should win a best TV moment BAFTA? Because this is unprecedented stuff." Also enamoured by the Wayne's World routine another user said: "Unbelievable, staggering, Chris is truly amazing, how does Dianne teach him. Incredible."
