Jake Paul has committed to a showdown with boxing icon Mike Tyson, declaring "it's Mike Tyson or no one", dismissing speculation about the legendary fighter's wellbeing. The much-awaited bout, set for November 15, might face hurdles as concerns grow regarding Tyson's health.

Earlier in the year, the match faced a postponement when Tyson suffered nausea during a flight prompting medical advice against competing.

However, Paul has quelled concerns over Tyson's condition, stating that the heavyweight champion is having an outstanding training camp, and emphasized: "It's Mike Tyson or nothing. But first and foremost, he's healthy and feeling amazing and doing great in camp."

Beyond his prospective fight with Tyson, Paul has expressed a desire to eventually take on Canelo Alvarez—daring to challenge the esteemed boxer, despite what transpires with Tyson. Paul, who has previously provoked Canelo, reiterated his ambitions to TMZ, asserting his confidence in a future clash: "Everything I've said has come true and why Canelo, you know, should be awake at night, because I'm coming for him," he stated.

"The fight is going to happen and I will win and shock the whole entire world. And, this is me currently speaking it into existence.

"People will sit there and listen to that and be like, 'Oh, he's crazy'. But, I was crazy when I said I'd be doing the biggest fights when I would beat Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva , all of these things. So you're crazy until you're not."

Canelo is recognised as one of boxing's all-time greats, with world titles in four weight divisions and a record showing only two losses from 66 contests. Paul has set tongues wagging with his announcement of the bout against "Iron Mike", who is three decades older.

Critics, including fans and boxing experts, have slammed the match-up, scheduled for streaming on Netflix. Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has labelled it "sad" given Tyson's age and expressed concern over the risk of seeing a legend potentially knocked out by Paul, nearly two decades after Tyson's last pro fight, reports the Mirror.

Nonetheless, Paul admits to feeling anxious about the encounter and is approaching the bout with utmost seriousness. On being questioned about any moments of doubt he had regarding the upcoming fight, Paul affirmed: "Definitely. The moments of insecurity, especially moving up to heavyweight where [Tyson] has the advantage in weight and everything. His raw power is unbelievable, and I'm aware he's invested in this fight."
