Former Strictly star Ola Jordan has shared her insights on the current series and reminisced about her time with former partner JB Gill on the show.

The professional dancer, who starred in the dance show as a pro dancer from 2006 to 2015, previously took to the dance floor with the JLS singer for the Christmas edition of the series in 2012.

The pair dazzled the judges, taking home the festive crown with a near-perfect score of 39, earning three tens and a nine.

Now, JB is once again under the glitterball spotlight, partnering with Welsh pro Amy Dowden. They are set to perform a lively Jive to the beats of Outkast's 'Hey Ya!' on Saturday evening.

Ola couldn't hold back her excitement during a chat with Mecca Bingo, highlighting a little-known fact about JB's Strictly journey. The 42-year-old revealed that JB had already taken on the jive back in their 2012 special, reports Birmingham Live.

She said: "I'm looking forward to seeing JB and Amy. It's funny because they haven't mentioned that JB actually did a Strictly Christmas special, so he has already done a Jive," Ola said, reflecting positively on her past experience coaching him.

"He did it with me back in 2012 and he was very good when I was teaching him, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he does in his Jive this weekend."

She went on to say: "Not just JB though, I'm looking forward to all of the dances. The thing is, everyone has different dances and ideas so it's nice to see what they come up with every week!".

Discussing her anticipation for the other dancers, she added: "For example, Montell and Johannes have done three ballroom dances which I think is unfair because she is very good.

"I want to see her do a Latin or a rhythmical dance and see how good she is going to be because at the moment we're not really seeing what she's capable of.

"So, I'm looking forward to seeing Montell, but she's got Couple's Choice which isn't really a Latin dance, so we'll see what that's going to be like. I'm still looking forward to her doing a rhythmical dance like Samba, Salsa, or Cha-Cha, it's very different to a ballroom so that might be different for her."
