Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden is reportedly 'feeling much better' after a hospital dash on Saturday night, as ITV presenter Ranvir Singh has shared.

Having overcome a battle with cancer to return to the show full-time this year, the professional dancer was notably absent from Sunday night's BBC results show following reports she had 'collapsed' post-Saturdays live performance.

Shortly into the results programme, host Tess Daly made a point to inform viewers of Amys absence, acknowledging with the words: "Before we get started, Amy is unable to be with us for tonight's show," before swiftly moving the show forward.

On a recent segment of ITV's Lorraine, Ranvir provided an uplifting update, stating: "It has since been revealed that she is feeling much better and of course she is one of our family here."

She went on to express her wishes for Dowden: " We wish her a speedy recovery, my love. Lots of love to Amy if she is watching this morning.", reports the Mirror.

Amy Dowdens dance partner on the show, JB Gill from JLS, also took to Instagram to speak out, posting an emotional message to thank fans for their continued support.

He expressed gratitude by posting: "on behalf of both @amydowden and I. I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for voting for us and wishing us well."

JB further remarked: "We absolutely loved our performance on Saturday night and are SO grateful to be through to another week. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support."

The singer's social media update was met with a wave of affection for Amy, as her fellow stars and admirers alike expressed their support. Pete Wicks, Johannes Radebe, Jowita Przystal, and Nancy Xu, along with Amy's good mate on the programme, fellow professional Dianne Buswell, all shared heart emojis in response.

It hasn't been confirmed if Amy will return to the dance floor

Ex-Geordie Shore personality Vicky Pattison commented: "Smashed it babes." Meanwhile, Sarah Louise Merrygold, spouse of JLS's Aston Merrygold, added: "Smashed it J Ballroom. Team JAmy smashing it again."

Although the pair secured their spot for another week, Amy has remained silent on social media since Saturday evening, and there's no official word yet on whether she'll be returning to the dance floor soon.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 at 9am
