The Lindt Lindor Truffle Ball has 40 of the signature chocolates inside the novelty ball, making it the perfect gift for fans of the brand, and it has been price-matched on the Lindt website

Lindt has delighted chocolate lovers by cutting the price of their Lindor Milk Chocolate Maxi Ball, which holds 40 truffles, by 20 per cent. This oversized version of their classic Lindt Lindor Truffle ball is now available on Amazon for £12, reduced from £14.99, and is also price-matched on the Lindt website.

The deal offers better value than Tesco's regular 500g pack priced at £12.50 with a Clubcard. Since 1845, Lindt's Master Chocolatiers have been crafting fine chocolates, and this novelty ball comes packed with 40 of their iconic truffles.

Its impressive size and design make it an ideal Christmas gift or a stunning festive table centrepiece. The product has been a hit among Amazon customers, earning a 4.7 rating from 3,073 reviews.

A satisfied customer commented: "Great chocolates and these were a great price too. Less than the usual price of £15 and usually only at supermarkets at Christmas. The inside red tin had separated but it was easy enough to undo one end and lock it together again and twist up the end. I also added something extra into the tin ball before I put it back together. A nice gift."

One satisfied customer shared: "How can you go wrong with a big ball filled with Lindor chocolates? I've purchased this a couple of times as gifts, and needless to say, the recipient has always been happy. There really isn't much to say about this product. If you've ever had or seen a Lindor ball before, the only way to describe this would be to say it's just a very big version of that! Inside, you'll find around 40 of these Lindor chocolates, unfortunately not as big as the wrapper. The actual packaging is a round ball that can open out into two halves, presumably one of the halves is to be used as a sharing bowl, but don't get you're hopes up, as I only got 1 chocolate! This is the perfect gift for anyone who loves Lindt chocolate, including yourself of course," reports MyLondon.

Another pleased purchaser noted: "Purchased a few as Christmas gifts and they went down really well! A bit different to just giving a box and it worked out cheaper too (by gram vs a box)! Would purchase again!"

However, not all shoppers were as thrilled. One person commented: "I mean it's okay, the actual ball it could have been filled up slightly more than it was done. But it makes a great gift." Another added: "Great gift for someone. My only downside would be that there are places that you can get this cheaper."

The Lindt Lindor Truffle Ball is available for £12 on Amazon or Lindt. For those seeking another chocolatey treat, Hotel Chocolat's Everything Sleekster - which contains 44 of their signature chocolates - is on sale for £44.95. Or Fortnum and Mason are offering a Milk Chocolate Selection box for £40.
