Strictly's Wynne Evans demands 'fair' change to show as he makes 'disaster' confession

During the latest episode of BBC's It Takes Two, Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans suggested a levelling change for the main competition.

In a discussion about their Quickstep, Fleur enquired about the overall exhaustion level of the dance, to which he amusingly responded: "I am a fat man going fast around the floor, right? I've got this theory, that all the pro dancers, like Jockeys, should be wearing weights, to make them the same weight as me. Then the competition would be fair!"

They secured a score of 33 from the judges with their performance, landing them in fifth place on the leaderboard, even as viewers witnessed several deliberate mishaps across the dance floor.

Yet, during their Saturday practice session before the live broadcast, events took a less amusing turn as things didn't quite go to plan, reports the Mirror.

Katya admitted: "I know we wanted things to go wrong, but they didn't go wrong, everything went wrong wrong!"

Wynne couldn't help but chuckle as he recounted: "It was like a disaster. Honestly, the door handle was meant to come off in my hand. We thought it looked a bit loose so they stuck it extra hard. Then I pulled it-".

Interrupting, Katya disclosed that unexpectedly the entire door frame began to collapse towards Wynne. She was unable to assist him due to her position at the time, but found the situation entirely comical, confessing: "It was hilarious!"

Wynne quickly retorted, "It wasn't hilarious, I mean it was terrifying!"

He recounted to Fleur the series of mishaps that transpired during rehearsals, noting that none of the toilet rolls had stuck to his shoes as intended.

He added: "Everything went wrong! Even the bird didn't poo on me, It was a disaster."

Despite the setbacks in the dress rehearsal, the final performance on the evening unfolded flawlessly, earning Wynne praise from his dance partner Katya.

With evident admiration, she commented: "You surprise me every Saturday whilst I'm dancing. I'm going, 'What is going on?!'. You are two times faster, you are three times lighter, I don't know how."

In their conversation, the pair disclosed that they would be performing a Salsa to Jamiroquai's song Canned Heat for the show's Halloween special, teasing that audiences can expect several lifts in the routine.

While Wynne and Katya have successfully secured a place in next week's live show, Paul Merson became the latest person to get eliminated after competing against JB Gill in the dance-off.
