Former This Morning host Phillip Schofield is rumoured to be a contestant on this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! following his surprising return to television.

Following the announcement that the 62 year old will host his own Channel 5 show, Cast Away, bookmakers betideas.com have placed odds of 3/1 for him to head into the Jungle next.

Additionally, he's been given odds of 5/1 to present a show on Channel 5, with a Celebrity Big Brother appearance at 6/1.

Further down the betting list are roles as a presenter on ITV (16/1), BBC (25/1). Despite his dramatic exit, a comeback to ITV's This Morning is priced at 50/1, and an unlikely co-hosting role alongside Holly Willoughby at 66/1.

Lee Astley, a spokesperson for betideas.com, shared further insight into the findings: "When it was announced that Phillip Schofield would return to our screens on his Channel 5 show, Cast Away, questions have been asked on what he'll appear on next, with a trip to the Jungle this winter the most likely destination," reports the Mirror.

"A stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has been tipped at 3/1 should Schofield want another survival challenge, with an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother slightly adrift at 6/1."

"Should Schofield want to redeem his presenting career in some capacity, he's been tipped to present on Channel 5 at 5/1, Channel 4 at 12/1, while a fresh gig with former co-host Holly Willoughby looks unlikely at 66/1."

Phillip Schofield's appearance on Cast Away will mark his first TV presence since his departure from ITV's This Morning in May 2023.

The beloved presenter left the morning show following revelations of his involvement with a younger male colleague.

The controversy consumed the media last year, resulting in the collapse of his relationship with Holly Willoughby, his co-presenter on This Morning.

It additionally affected Schofield's family life, with his wife Steph sharing her devastation.

A promotional clip for Cast Away released recently features an emotional Schofield discussing the events, where he remarks: "I know what I did was unwise, but is it enough to completely destroy someone?"

Despite potentially seeing this as an opportunity for redemption in the public eye, Schofield's return has faced backlash, with some accusing the show of being a disgrace and dubbing Philip "narcissistic".
