Jason Kelce dumbfounded by Giants fans’ Saquon Barkley hate

Jason Kelce is confused.

The former long-time Philadelphia Eagles center doesn’t understand why Giants fans are booing Saquon Barkley in his return to Metlife Stadium on Sunday.

Responding to a fan with a “F–k Barkley* jersey, Kelce posted regarding his perplexity.

“For the life of me,” Kelce posted to X. “I don’t understand why Giants fans hate Saquon for what happened, and not the Giants organization for the fact he is an Eagle. They have absolutely no one to blame other than the Giants ownership and management decisions for why he is no longer a Giant. Obviously understand their hate of the Eagles, and desire for him not to succeed, just very odd this energy is directed at him more so than the organization…”

Kelce also replied to some fans on the matter.

Regarding Barkley, one fan wrote to him: “We hate him because he chose the enemy. Weak move. Coulda chose the Texans or ravens. Would’ve had a better chance at success and then we could’ve rooted for him. He also tried to play the victim afterward. Another weak move. It’s very valid if you think about it Jason.”

Kelce disagreed but replied in a respectful manner.

“Understand the hate for him going to the Eagles and that you’ll root against him,” Kelce wrote. “There’s tons of guys though that have played with one NFC East team and then end up playing for another. Still feel like this situation is majorities at the hands of the Giants themselves.”

Another fan, with more snark, chimed in to Kelce’s initial comment.

“Let me put it real simple for you. He lied all season about HOW bad he wanted to be a giant for life, got offered by the FO multiple times didn’t take any offer then left for Philly. Not rocket science.”

Kelce replied, “Exactly, all they had to do was offer him a contract he deserved, even after surrounding him with horrendous talent and supporting casts on the Oline, he still wanted to stay…. How is he the bad guy in this?”

The Eagles stomped out the Giants in Barkley’s return to face his former team.

The final was 28-3 Philly, and unfortunately for the G-Men, Barkley led the charge.
