Hochul’s hateful anti-Republican comments: Letters to the Editor — Nov. 6, 2024
· New York PostThe Issue: Gov. Kathy Hochul’s comments stating that the NY GOP is “anti-American” and “anti-women.”
Democracy is at risk when Gov. Hochul says that New Yorkers who vote Republican in the upcoming general election are anti-women, anti-abortion and anti-American (“Who’s Anti-American, Kat?” Editorial, Oct. 4).
The governor probably forgot that the Republican Party pioneered women’s right to vote, and was the first major party to advocate equal rights and equal pay for women through the National Federation of Republican Women.
Also, California then-Gov. Ronald Reagan signed the “Therapeutic Abortion Act,” which legalized abortion there in 1967.
Americans have the freedom to vote for whoever they want and should not be disparaged for making a choice Hochul disagrees with.
Her insular attitude is blatantly un-American.

Excuse me, Gov. Hochul: Wasn’t it your party that couldn’t tell us the definition of a woman?
Wasn’t it your party that sent the Justice Department after women who protected their children at school?
Wasn’t it your party that allowed transgender people to compete in women’s sports?
And you’re supposedly for women?
If your statement were not so hurtful to Republicans, it might be laughable.
Who are you, the leader of a corrupt government and a state in disrepair, to tell us that if we vote Republican, we’re anti-American?

It is amazing that Hochul believes what she believes.
If we disagree with someone, we should engage in civil and constructive dialogue with them, not mock or ridicule them.
Gov. Hochul is a prime example of how far the Democratic Party has veered to the radical left.

Hochul is one of our worst, and her hateful rhetoric has to end.
Who does she think she is, telling voters that if they vote Republican, they’re “anti-American”?
Under her watch, our state is going to hell.
I hope voters remember this.
Far-left politics are ruining our once-fine nation.

Regarding Hochul’s comment that if you’re in New York and vote Republican, you’re anti-American: Telling anyone who they should vote for and what party they should support is anti-American.

The most anti-American positions include an open border, funding Iran’s theocracy, limiting energy production, forcing EV production, regulating small businesses out of business, defunding the police, censoring then jailing opponents and pitting biological men against women in sports.
But at least Gov. Hochul’s first gentleman will get richer whenever the Buffalo Bills play a home game.

I spent 23 years in the US Navy.
But to our esteemed governor, I am un-American.
My question is: What has she done for our country?

My wife and I moved to Florida in November 2022.
After all, Gov. Hochul told Republicans like former New York Rep. Lee Zeldin to “just jump on a bus and head down to Florida.”
We love the free state of Florida and thrive here.
So, Gov. Hochul, go wallow in your spite and your corrupt deals, like the new Buffalo Bills stadium.
We’ll live and prosper in real America.

To anyone watching Hochul’s hate-spewing rant calling GOP voters un-American, it should be apparent she has some deep-rooted issues.

Gov. Hochul insulted Trump supporters who are choosing the best candidate for them in November.
This is what’s disgusting about the left: If you don’t go along with their views, you will be attacked.
