Support for Fianna Fáil has increased by three percentage points, the poll suggests

Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are almost on equal support just weeks out from the general election, the latest Business Post RED C opinion poll suggests.

This survey of 1,003 voters taken over six days up to last Wednesday indicates that Fianna Fáil is up three percentage points to 21% while Fine Gael drops a point to stand on 22%.

Sinn Féin is also down one point to 17% while support for Independents is unchanged at 15%.

The Social Democrats are on 5% support which is a drop of one point in the last month while Labour is unchanged on 4%.

The Greens are down one point to 3% while it is a similar story for Aontú which is on 3% support as are People Before Profit-Solidarity.

Independent Ireland is up one point to 5% while Others are on 2% support.

The margin of error in this poll is plus or minus 3%.
